Tonight I have class but CJ will be passing out candy to any trick-or-treaters that come by. Addison was oh-so cute this weekend and today at school as a lady bug!

VIDEO: BlowOut
Not the blow out you are thinking.....rather a Pauly D blowout. Just Kidding.
Sunday is bath night and luckily that is all Addie needs right now, one bath a week. She gets to spend lots of time in the bathtub and then her favorite, getting her hair blow dried. Not sure why she likes it so much, must be the calming affects of the noise, but she will sit contently to become beautifully blow dried.

Yes yes.....
It's been a few days since I have blogged and I realize for many, it's a few days too long. Well, CJ was out of town this week so I was left to tend to the always "on the move" Addison by myself. It's a lot of work, but it was well well worth it. I was able to go to bed shortly after she was, catch up on some much needed sleep, snuggle with her all by myself every night, and just live life with her, not necessarily tending to CJ. Now, don't get me wrong, we certainly missed him and even Skyped with him.
I promise to get back to the daily blogging BUT....
not until after this weekend because GRAMMIE IS IN TOWN!!!! Oh boy she is in for lots of fun with the interactive, fun, on the move and groove Addie.
I am sure I will have PLENTY of pictures and videos to come.
Here are the next few blog topics you can look forward to:
1. Addison's 7 month pictures
2. The Smith's Visit
3. Baby Food 101
4. Grammie's Visit
5. Pumpkin Patch and Friends
I will leave you with some fun pictures in the meantime!
A afternoon in the life of little Miss Addison (be prepared for a lot of movement!):

Stackable Rings (VIDEO included)
I finally brought out the stackable rings. I distinctly remember these as a child and I think they are a baby staple. Addison LOVES them. She is trying so hard to actually stack them. She hasn't quite figured it out, but it's only a matter of time. She carries one of the rings with her at all times if she doesn't have the pack of wipes or water bottle with her instead.
Here are some pictures:
And a video, of course:

Leaves Galore
The other day, after we got home, I ran in the house to use the restroom. I left it to CJ to unpack the car which included Addison. While I was inside, CJ thought it would be funny to put Addison in the leaves. He saw me in the house and told me to come outside. At this point, I could not see Addison. SHE WAS SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS.
She. Hated. The. Leaves.
She. Hated. The. Leaves.
It was too funny. I had to grab my camera and get a few shots. Layla came out and played with her a little and she finally relaxed and decided it was time to eat the leaves instead. Oh my!
For my GRAM!
This past week my Gram was put in the hospital for a small infection. My heart immediately dropped when I heard from my Mom but she assured me everything was okay. Yesterday she was transferred back to the rehab center.
{Back story for those that don't know. Almost a year ago my Gram had a stroke. She was in the hospital for several months but has since been in a rehab center. Anyone that knows me knows that I love my Gram with all my heart. She means the world to me!!!!}
So, Mom goes every weekend to see Gram and shares pictures and videos of Addison with her. Addison is lucky enough to have already met her and she looks forward to meeting her again.
When I spoke to Gram this week, she said she wanted to see more videos of Addison, so Gram, this one is JUST FOR YOU!!! I LOVE you and MISS you terribly! Can't wait to see you again soon!

Maddie
I came across Maddie's blog while I was still pregnant with Addison and I have followed the blog since. Let me tell you, Maddie's mom (Kelly) is amazingly strong. She lost her 4 month old baby to SIDS. She has journaled her trials and tribulations as she has navigated through life without her precious baby. I could not imagine. She is inspiring, strong, and an all around beautiful person. She has started a company where she makes items that Maddie loved like bows.
You can read more about her story here. I warn you, you will cry; you will need tissues.
In honor of her daughter's first birthday, which is today, she asked all her readers and friends/family to wear pink and have their children wear pink. So, of course, I honored her wish and dressed Addison in the cutest pink and brown outfit I had from Aunt Suzanne.
I have many friends that have lost their babies during pregnancy, during delivery, and after birth. This month Addison, CJ and I are honoring all those Mommies, Daddies, Grammies, Grandaddies, Aunts, Uncles, Friends, and babies during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Month.

First TOOTH!
The was a fun-filled weekend with a visit from the Smith's, getting ears pierced, finishing up 6 month shots and....drum roll please.........................................................................................................................Addison got her first tooth!!! At 6 months and 3 weeks old, her first tooth popped through.
Now, I would love to share a picture of her tooth with you, but our little stinker will not allow us to capture one. When you try to open her mouth, she covers her cute little tooth with her tongue. So, you can see the attempts we made trying to capture a picture. Similar to catching her rolling over on video (took us 2 weeks to finally capture it), I have a feeling getting a picture of her tooth will be the same. I will keep trying.
She has one tooth on the bottom. Another one is VERY close to popping out. She has certainly had all the teething side effects.......cranky (but luckily not too bad), poopy diapers, rosy cheeks, not wanting her bottle, sleeping a lot, super cuddly, putting EVERYTHING in her mouth, etc. Just goes to show, she's growing up faster than I am prepared for.

eh, why not a foot in the mouth? |
Even a water bottle |
Hey, whatever works to soothe those little teethies.

SNEAK PREVIEW: The Smith's Visit
Here is a quick sneak preview of the Smith's Visit to Chicago with Cohen. We had a fabulous time over the last 5 days with them. There will be a whole post about the visit, but here is a quick, sneak peak video of Cohen and Addison playing!

Transition
We have taken the leap, the time we have dreaded for a long time, transitioning Addison from her Magic Sleepsuit. We began swaddling Addison from day one and she slept SO good as a result that when we transitioned from Swaddling to the Magic Sleepsuit, we were certain we would have to start all over with her sleeping through the night. Nope, she proved us wrong.
So, surely we thought the same thing transitioning her from the Sleepsuit to just the Sleepsak and once again, that little stinker proved us wrong. She's been sleeping in the Sleepsak for 4 nights thus far and we have had no issues. She has gone down at 8pm as usual and slept through the night as usual.
The only difference?
She has found that she can sleep on her tummy and has taken FULL ADVANTAGE of it.
So funny to see her sleeping on her belly with her butt up in the air. Her preferred position! (Had I known this, I think I would have transitioned her earlier but due to our concern for our lack of sleep, hehe, we didn't, oppss!)
I must say, I am so glad that we started her out in her crib as early as we did (at night 3). I honestly believe it has helped her sleep so well at night and allow us to sleep at night. She knows when she's in her crib, it's night night time and within 10-15 minutes, she is asleep. She can easily play in her crib at night or in the morning and be completely entertained by her mobile or stuffed animals. I love this about her. I think it shows her independence.
We've got a special little girl on our hands.
